Nathan Alexander
Chair
Nathan Alexander is a postdoctoral research associate at the Illinois Natural History Survey studying avian disease dynamics and climate change in the Laurentian Great Lakes, but is broadly disciplined in wildlife ecology, mammalogy, and landscape genetics. Outside of his
research, he serves on the Continuum of Service Providers to the Homeless (CSPH). At the CSPH, he initiated and chairs the LGBTQ+ Homeless Workgroup to inform policy, advocate, and provide trainings to increase access of resources to LGBTQ+ individuals. Nathan has
secured grants, planned events, and conducted outreach, but he truly enjoys quiet nights knitting alongside his cat.
