Jennifer Bergmark

Dr. Jennifer Bergmark is an Assistant Professor in Art Education at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Her research is concerned with culturally relevant pedagogy, arts integration, arts advocacy, community arts, artist in schools, and school as a socially engaged arts lab. Her research is anchored in the Everyday Arts Lab (EAL), an after-school visual art program and art educator early-teaching experience in partnership with Stratton Academy of the Arts. Bergmark brings her curatorial experience to art education courses that explore collaborative practices and exhibition as a creative practice for K-12 art curriculum.
